Job Description:

Join a dynamic company specializing in high-value-added services and actively contribute to its development in Europe! As part of launching a new service offering, our client is seeking a Business Development Manager (H/F).

Your main mission will be to increase revenue by identifying new business opportunities and building lasting relationships with key industry players (pharma, biotech, medtech, etc.).

Responsibilities:
  1. Business Development:
  • Prospect new clients within your zone (Europe).
  • Make initial contacts, qualify leads, and initiate commercial relationships.
  • Arrange client meetings to understand their scientific and technical needs.
  • Present company services and develop tailored proposals.
  • Negotiate offers and close contracts.
  • Participate in trade shows and professional events to increase visibility.
  • Market Monitoring & Strategy:
    • Analyze market potential, identify trends and opportunities.
    • Monitor competitors and client needs, contribute to evolving the service offering.
    • Provide regular activity reports.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with technical experts and internal teams to ensure project feasibility.
    • Support sales teams in preparing quotes.
    • Relay detected opportunities outside your scope.
  • Client Relations:
    • Maintain trustful relationships throughout project execution.
    • Anticipate future needs and ensure post-project follow-up.
    Candidate Profile:

    Education & Experience:

    • Master’s or PhD in biotechnology, pharmacy, biology, or life sciences.
    • At least 5 years of proven experience in business development within fields like central lab, testing/assays, CRO, preclinical, clinical development, CMC, toxicology, medical devices, regulatory/medical affairs, etc.
    • International or multicultural experience is appreciated.

    Languages: Fluent English required (regular communication with international clients).

    • Ability to persuade, negotiate, and close deals.
    • Customer service orientation and good listening skills.
