Leadership and Management Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multicultural and multidisciplinary team, promoting high performance standards, teamwork, and effective internal communications.
- Oversee daily operations of the Technical Secretaries and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate resources and budget of the Technical Secretariat, ensuring effectiveness and coherence, while providing support and advice to the Head of NTE.
- Provide expert input and advice, adapting plans and priorities to ensure the effective conduct of activities.
- Plan and coordinate biannual meetings, including scheduling and facilities support.
- Review contracts, proposals, treaties, agreements, memoranda of understanding, and other important documentation.
- Develop relationships with members to enhance operational efficiency and responsiveness, and collaborate with senior leadership on strategic projects.
- Review and improve organizational structure, identify skills gaps, and address them.
Budget Management
- Prepare detailed budget forecasts and reports for NEA senior management and member countries to support decision-making.
- Coordinate with NEA's Budget and Finance Office to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payments; maintain detailed financial records.
- Monitor and track expenditures to align with financial plans and organizational priorities.
Analysis and Drafting
- Analyze data and draft policy guidance, best practice documents, papers, and presentations.
- Oversee logistics for meetings, including agendas, materials, notes, and updates, liaising with member countries and organizations.
Representation and Communication
- Represent NEA in meetings and conferences, delivering high-level presentations to executives and government officials.
- Build and maintain networks with member countries and partners.
Additional Tasks
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head of NTE.
Qualifications and Candidate Profile
Academic Background
- Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., engineering, applied physics) and in business administration, communication, or international relations, or equivalent professional experience.
Professional Experience
- 5-8 years of leadership in project planning and coordination, including at least 3 years in a nuclear environment.
- Experience interacting with national and international organizations.
