Based in the center of Paris, our client is a 20-person indie game studio, dedicated to a promising next-generation Sci-Fi MMO game featuring a huge persistent, open, and editable sandbox world composed of thousands of planets.

The company operates on funds successfully raised from private investors and remains entirely independent. They are developing their own technologies: procedural generation, voxel, dual contouring rendering, and single shard server. They are passionate about high-quality games and believe in the potential of emergent systemic gameplay. They actively seek out like-minded top talents to help create an immersive experience and push the limits of the MMO genre.

We are looking for a seasoned graphics programmer who enjoys a collaborative and creative work environment and is eager to push the boundaries of rendering cutting-edge 3D voxels in our engine. Responsibilities include researching, developing, implementing, and optimizing high-end and photorealistic graphics techniques applicable in large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, develop, and optimize advanced graphics techniques such as real-time global illumination, atmospheric simulation, large-scale vegetation, geometry processing, and dynamic scene graphs.
• Collaborate closely with artists, R&D engineers (voxel, procedural generation, engine), and game programmers.
• Work in a small, focused, and casual studio environment in Paris, France.
• Contribute to a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

Job Requirements :

• Expertise in C/C++ and thorough understanding of 3D math.
• Experience constructing and debugging multi-threaded systems.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers and artists.
• Self-motivated to learn and implement new rendering techniques.
• Architecturally-minded with experience designing scalable systems and managing technical debt.
• Experience writing and debugging shader code.
• Commitment to code quality, documentation, and testing procedures.
• Ability to research, analyze, and optimize code for performance.
• Conceptual fluency with physically based rendering techniques.

Education and Experience:

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience.
