Underwriting Assistant International Office Property & Construction

Location: Paris, France

Context: AXA XL is recruiting an Assistant Underwriter in Property / Construction (local policies). AXA XL is the division of AXA dedicated to insuring large enterprises and specialized risks.

Our teams design targeted solutions to cover risks from the most common to the most complex for our clients. We are committed to helping them anticipate, prepare for, and prevent losses or mitigate their impact, and to recover quickly in the event of a claim. As an Assistant Underwriter, your role will involve significant responsibilities:

  1. Providing efficient and high-quality support for underwriting activities.
  2. Managing contracts from A to Z, including issuing contractual documents and monitoring reinsurance.
  3. Promoting AXA XL's services and management offers to clients and brokers.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Calculate expected revenue forecasts in collaboration with underwriting.
  2. Ensure accurate calculation and issuance of insurance/reinsurance premiums.
  3. Issue contractual documents in compliance with legal directives and management rules, and ensure their archiving and monitoring.
  4. Act as the main contact for clients and brokers, responding promptly to requests.
  5. Collaborate with various departments and participate in meetings.

You will report to the Team Lead, International Office Property & Construction.

Candidate Profile:

  • Initial experience (e.g., through an apprenticeship) with a broker or P&C insurer.
  • Desire to join a large international company.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong synthesis abilities to process large volumes of information.
  • Curious, dynamic, independent, and meticulous.
  • Professional level of English (English-speaking work environment).
