Job Description:

This position is within the Architecture team of Schneider Digital's Intelligent Edge organization, supporting innovation and platforming programs for Schneider Electric's Business Units and Lines of Business on Industrial IoT offers. The 'EdgeOS Server' is a strategic technology disruption enabling a 'Software Defined' approach at the Edge for simplifying design, commissioning, maintenance, and evolution of OT systems. It supports virtualization for deploying real-time and best-effort workloads via virtual machines and containers.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Provide architecture guidelines, identify technical solutions, and write technical requirements for the EdgeOS Server platform.
2. Collaborate with the Intelligent Edge anticipation team to leverage explorations from the 'Software Defined Edge Control (SDEC)' program.
3. Work with client programs within the Energy Management business unit to define end-to-end architecture and select appropriate technologies.
4. Coordinate with POs and Architects of Edge System Management and EdgeOS MPU platforms to ensure proper integration of virtualization technologies, including deployment and monitoring of VMs and containers locally and remotely.

Profile:

• Graduate or Post-graduate degree in computer science and system engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in complex industrial systems with real-time and/or safety constraints.
• Expertise in embedded software development (RTOS, Linux).
• Strong knowledge of Linux hypervisors and virtualization (KVM).
• Familiarity with system engineering best practices, components used in digital platforms, and processor architectures.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming and networking.
• Experience in cybersecurity within industrial domains (e.g., IEC 62443).
• Experience in creating and assessing reference architectures.
• Knowledge of industrial standards like IEC 61850 and OPC UA.
• Willingness to learn and introduce new technologies, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of building stakeholder consensus.
• Proficiency in English required.
