Mistral is seeking a Software Engineer, Network Automation - WAN & Edge to design, automate, and operate resilient connectivity across data centers, cloud environments, and external networks. You will handle inter-site connectivity, edge routing, and production troubleshooting in a hands-on role.

Ideal candidates have deep WAN/edge experience, a track record with BGP in production, and skills in API-driven automation and Go.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on WAN and edge networking experience across internet connectivity and data-centre interconnects.
• Experience taking external BGP designs from whiteboard to production and debugging during incidents.
• Experience building/operating production network automation using APIs and data models.
• Strong software-engineering fundamentals and willingness to work in Go.

Responsabilités

• Design and evolve resilient inter-site, cloud, and internet connectivity for large-scale AI infrastructure.
• Own external BGP policy and traffic engineering at the edge, including route filtering and capacity planning.
• Build API-driven automation for edge routing, firewalls, VPNs, carrier connectivity, and segmentation.
• Coordinate with carriers, cloud providers, colocation partners, and vendors on design and incident handling.
• Design safe change workflows with automated validation, staged rollouts, observability, and rollback.
• Participate in on-call rotation, troubleshoot WAN/edge incidents, and drive root-cause improvements.
• Review designs and code, explain trade-offs, and raise network engineering quality across the org.
