As a Software Engineer on the Machine Learning Platform team at Liftoff, you will:

• Work with an experienced team of ML, Software, and Infrastructure Engineers to build the next-generation ML platform for Liftoff.
• Design, engineer, and implement reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient systems supporting our ML platform.
• Deliver business results by enabling advanced ML models and technologies.
• Utilize vendor-based products (AWS, Databricks), open-source technologies (PyTorch, PySpark), and in-house tools.

Desired qualities and experience:

• Strong coding ability in any backend language.
• Solid understanding of core CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system architecture).
• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Experience with building ML tooling or platforms for large-scale problems is a plus.
• Experience with Python or Spark is a plus.
• Experience in high-growth startup environments is a plus.
• A passion for quality and excellence, with the ability to ship efficiently.
