The role of Regional Commercial Analytics Associate Director provides advisory and operational analytics business partnership to the regional & country teams within the International Commercial organization, acting as a trusted advisor to leaders to enable the achievement of business strategies.

This role reports to the International Sr. Director of Global Insights Analytics & Commercial Operations (GIACO) with a dotted line into the Regional Vice President (RVP) of South Europe & Brazil (SEB).

The primary responsibility is to provide expert guidance leveraging data and analytics, acting as a trusted advisor to the Regional and Country Leadership Teams on strategic decision-making. This includes leading commercial capabilities change management within the region for all inline products and (future) product launches, spanning the expansion of our current CF portfolio as well as hematology.

The role focuses on proactively shaping the regional strategy, providing leadership and expert guidance for continuous improvement of country execution and performance monitoring. The Associate Director will serve as a trusted advisor to the SEB RVP and Lead Team, building insight and analytics-driven teams, enhancing commercial capabilities, and fostering a competitive mindset for the future.

The position is based in Vertex's office in Paris and involves close collaboration with colleagues at the International HQ, regional, and local teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
  1. Proactively define, build, and implement the Regional Analytics Roadmap, leveraging data and analytics to generate actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and ensure investments are targeted effectively.
  2. Establish strategies and tactics to enable the business to achieve commercial goals, acting as a conduit for sharing business needs with IHQ functions to develop common data analytics and market research initiatives.
  3. Partner with the GIACO team to align on KPIs, co-create dashboards and analytics solutions, and develop custom solutions for specific countries, considering market and geographic differences.
  4. Lead change management efforts by building data and digital literacy within the SEB region, ensuring teams across marketing, sales, and market access can leverage analytics tools effectively.
  5. Drive and shape the data quality framework in partnership with the international team, ensuring high data quality standards and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  6. Manage the governance framework, including ownership of Quarterly Business Reviews, shaping agendas, and providing strategic and operational insights to the SEB Leadership Team.
  7. Participate actively in GIACO and SEB Leadership Teams, contributing to strategic priorities and tactical execution.
  8. Serve as a regional point of contact for International Commercial Capabilities initiatives, driving change management and tracking capabilities adoption.
EDUCATION :
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, biotech, operations, or related discipline, with extensive experience.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :
  • Ability to communicate and influence across all organizational levels.
  • Proactive in shaping regional strategy with a strong execution mindset.
  • Change management skills to drive initiatives.
  • Ability to manage complexity with multiple launches and new therapeutic areas.
  • Prior experience in commercial or commercial excellence roles.
  • Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to interpret data for decision-making.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multitasking skills.
  • Digital agility, understanding multichannel marketing and market research is a bonus.
  • Innovative, flexible, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to build rapport with stakeholders, including senior leadership, and lead without authority across functions and geographies.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage complex, collaborative projects.
