About France & Belgian cluster :

Ferring France employs 83 people and is the group's second-largest subsidiary after the United States, with sales of €105.8 million in 2023. Ferring Belgium employs 15 people, with sales of €20.5 million in 2023. Ferring+You :

Guided by the Ferring Philosophy and our Leadership Principles, the primary focus of the role is to ensure the integrity of financial data in accordance with IFRS standards and international guidelines within the cluster while ensuring the application of local tax and financial regulations of the respective entities. You will be responsible for the protection of the Group's assets by identifying financial risks, proposing mitigation measures, and ensuring their implementation and the coordination and management of the organization's internal control activities to ensure effective financial performance in line with the Group's financial strategy.

You will oversee all or selected logistics management activities required for the timely and efficient transportation and distribution of products and materials.

Another focus of the role is to manage IT contingent worker to ensure optimal IT processes & network / computers across the cluster organization.

Reporting to the General Manager, you are a member of the Cluster Leadership Team.

Your day at Ferring:

  • Organize and supervise financial management and the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, strategic plans, and performance indicators at cluster level, in compliance with the tax and civil regulations in force and the cluster's own accounting policies and principles.
  • Revise on a monthly basis plan (Budget / FCST) vs actual reporting figures and propose actions to mitigate variances.
  • Coordinate and propose on a monthly basis risk and ops vs plan (Budget / FSCT).
  • Ensure the strict implementation of IFRS standards and international guidelines within the cluster, while ensuring the application of local tax and financial regulations in the respective entities.

Accounting activities:

  • Coordinate with our center of excellence in Lisbon the following activities:
  • Supervise accounts payable cycle and expenses reports under Concur system.
  • Supervise closing activities (closing reports, cost accounting, internal control of costs and expenses).
  • Supervise and approve statutory reports, ensuring the right quality and accuracy in accordance to local GAAPS and IFRS rules.

Treasury-related activities:

  • Organizing and supervising the treasury operations (managing the cluster's bank accounts, debts and investments, financial risks and cases of fraud or abuse).
  • Internal control and compliance.
  • Ensure right ICS (internal control system) matrix implementation.
  • Coordinate internal audits under and ensure safe internal control environment.

Tax activities:

  • Implementing the Group's tax guidelines.
  • Supervise tax compliance & enquiries with the local supporting firm and center of excellence in Lisbon.
  • Monitoring transfer prices and informing / proposing potential adjustments to the Group's tax guidance.

Logistics activities:

  • Organize and supervise supply management to ensure stock levels are in line with sales forecasts and to prevent stock shortages.
  • Ensure effective coordination with regional supply chain team (SNO). Organize and supervise the management of subcontracted packaging operations with the logistics service provider.
  • Ensure optimum management of hospital tenders.

IT activities:

  • Supervise right coordination with Regional IT.
  • Monitor M&S satisfaction level in regards IT resources and tools.
  • Organize and supervise the management of the cluster's IT (computers, accessories and printers) and telephone equipment on a matrix basis (ordering equipment, monitoring stocks and controlling costs, managing tickets, maintaining equipment) in line with local and Group procedures.
  • Optimize IT / network processes to improve the organization's performance.
  • Improve internal customer satisfaction with the equipment supplied and with new technologies.

Behind our innovation...There's you

  • Candidate profile:
  • Specialized master's degree / business school diploma in finance or economics.
  • 10 years' experience in finance and solid experience in multinational environments, preferably on an international scale.
  • Expertise in accounting and tax regulations.
  • Fully fluency in written and spoken French & English (Dutch will be a plus).
  • Strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record as a Finance Director.
  • The ability to drive collaboration between different functions.
  • A first-class team-builder with the agility to learn quickly and empower people, transform culture and drive high performance teams.

  • Familiarity with standards, current legislation and internal and Group procedures.
