Main Responsibilities

• Lead data strategy and solution design for innovative products within the R&D Accelerator, translating high-level business requirements into data models, metadata, test data, and quality standards.
• Implement data architecture foundations to meet various business use cases across research, development, clinical, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance areas.
• Simplify data strategies by delivering reusable services and cost-saving solutions aligned with group policies and standards.
• Manage end-to-end product solutions throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with enterprise data models.
• Provide leadership in R&D data architecture, maintaining current and target-state architectures and ensuring alignment with enterprise principles.
• Participate in peer reviews, quality assurance, and governance forums, reporting key architectural decisions.
• Evaluate and recommend technology solutions, oversee third-party architecture designs, and participate in supplier selection.
• Collaborate with digital teams, analysts, and data scientists to develop data solutions based on needs.
• Ensure data integrity and privacy, especially regarding protected health information (PHI).
• Align architecture with Agile DevOps practices in accordance with the Accelerator strategy.

Key Requirements

• Understanding of life sciences/pharma industry.
• Extensive experience in R&D data architecture and data processing systems (OLTP, OLAP, normalization, denormalization).
• Experience managing full lifecycle R&D projects, working with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Expertise in optimizing R&D platforms for business value, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Ability to govern architecture decisions ensuring compliance with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR, and data quality standards.
• Detail-oriented, customer-focused, capable of working across time zones, and a team player.
• Knowledge of agile environments and experience as Solution Architect is preferred.
• Familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, GDPR regulations is a plus.
• Professional, reliable, and consistent behavior.
