About Aethos Corsica

Aethos Corsica is located in Haute-Corse, in a 17th-century palace near Saint Florent and was recently completely restored to its former glory. The palace sits atop the spectacular village of Oletta, one of the most beautiful villages in Corsica, with views sweeping across the entire northern bay of Saint-Florent and its beaches.

Job Overview

Aethos is looking for an amazing Host (m/w/d) to join our team. The most successful candidate will have an authentic passion for the hotel industry, and a record of success in the hospitality industry. With us, you will never be bored. Every day, there will be a new challenge, be it in the role of front office staff, guest relations manager, barkeeper, or in the strategic development together with the management. Make it your project. The Host will be responsible for all property-related tasks from start to finish: welcoming & hosting guests, creating an A++ guest experience, problem-solving in daily operations, and ensuring all administrative tasks are executed perfectly. The candidate must be a true ambassador of the Aethos brand.

Job Description

• Under the responsibility of the Management, your main mission will be the well-being of our guests.
• Welcoming guests, organizing their stay, by the daily follow-up of their activities and reservations.
• Develop guest loyalty through a personalized approach and advice.
• Read and assimilate the daily tasks by a fluid transfer of information with colleagues.
• Anticipate guests needs (laundry, bar and pool service, concierge, massage...).
• Respond to all requests by phone and email.
• Invoicing of the different internal services and external services with our partners.
• Provide secretarial services for the reception.
• Administrative activities such as reservation acceptance and entry in the PMS, cash register/credit card accounting as well as general office activities.
• CRM Maintenance.
• Make the reception ready for the morning opening.
• Night closing.
• You will work in coordination with the restaurant team on the evening service and will be required, if necessary, to reinforce the team from time to time.

Profile

• Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general.
• With an excellent presentation, you are characterized by your dynamism, your relational ease and your sense of service but also by your rigor and your sympathy.
• You are versatile and do not hesitate to support your colleagues if necessary.
• You have good knowledge of computer tools, such as Word, Excel, Google ....
• You speak French AND English, at least.
• Experience in the luxury hotel sector would be a significant plus.
• 2+ years of hospitality experience is a plus.
• Ability to make thoughtful decisions and give constructive criticism.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by guests.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine.

€1,700 - €1,750 a month
