This position is for a new RSR delivery station launch. The operation of this RSR station will include the RSR operation, which brings same-day fulfillment to rural delivery stations.

RSR Sr. Station Leaders are responsible for all budgetary, people development, and operations objectives for an RSR Delivery Station. Additional responsibilities include managing and leading a team of Operations and Area Managers, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations, and developing leadership within the DS.

Key job responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall safety, quality performance, customer experience, and people development for all delivery station operations.
  • Drive vision for the station team and create quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plans.
  • Identify and solve problems to close gaps between performance and goals.
  • Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measure performance, provide feedback, and hold managers accountable.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
  • Present operational metrics regularly to senior leadership.
  • Hire and develop top talent, creating and implementing a talent plan including talent acquisition, performance management, career development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
  • Leverage Operations and Area Managers' ideas to improve the functional area.
  • Cultivate a strong culture and engagement across all levels of the delivery station team.
  • Share best practices across departments, shifts, and networks proactively.
  • Collaborate with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES, and Engineering to support projects and initiatives.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or 2 years of Amazon work experience.
  • 7 years of direct management experience in logistics, fulfillment, last mile, manufacturing, engineering, production, or distribution environments.
  • Proven track record of delivering performance and financial results in high-pressure settings.
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and lean techniques.
  • Experience with full lifecycle staffing, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations.
  • Strong analytical skills with a history of data-driven problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills in local language and English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience managing third-party resources regionally or nationally.
  • Experience managing a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle stressful situations with good judgment.
  • Interest in long-term career development.
