Description du poste

British American Tobacco France has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Legal Counsel in Paris. The main role is to provide legal advice and analysis to the organization, under the supervision of the Head of Legal France, ensuring compliance with local legislation, protecting trademarks, and managing regulatory issues proactively.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the full and timely implementation of marketing and commercial programs within regulatory frameworks.
  2. Serve as a legal advisor to the business units to preserve BAT's reputation.
  3. Contribute to maintaining BAT's business aligned with its strategy.
  4. Ensure activities comply with laws and regulations related to environmental protection, safety at work, fire protection, and internal EHS standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • University degree in French Law.
  • Fluency in French and excellent command of English.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a reputable law firm or legal department, preferably in the tobacco industry.
  • Strong knowledge of tobacco and consumer legislation, regulatory markets, antitrust law, contracts, corporate law, IP law, and labor law.
  • Ability to simplify legal concepts and communicate effectively across management levels.
  • Experience managing diverse legal issues and external lawyers across jurisdictions.
  • Good analytical skills, strategic thinking, and computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and commercial judgment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
