Operating across Europe’s major markets, this leading, high-growth, PE-backed software business is looking to hire a Managing Director. The business is scaling for its next phase of international growth, following a significant and strong history of organic, acquisitive, and profitable growth.

Overview of the Role

This Managing Director role is a critical leadership position, responsible for driving the business in line with the company’s strategic growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the MD will instill operational excellence to ensure top-line growth within their business area.

The Managing Director will collaborate across all departments to drive initiatives that foster revenue growth, streamline operations, and secure the business area's position as a market leader.

Managing Director Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Vision: Develop and direct strategies to steer the current business and support future scaling requirements.
  2. Financial Ownership: Take full charge of the business P&L, overseeing budgeting, financial forecasting, and analysis.
  3. Operational Excellence: Direct the day-to-day operations of the business area, ensuring operational efficiency, product and service excellence, and customer satisfaction.
  4. Drive Growth: Analyze market trends and identify organic and acquisition growth opportunities.
  5. Client Relationships: Engage and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams. Ensure transparent communication and alignment on strategies and outcomes.

Profile

  • At least 10 years of executive leadership experience, demonstrating successful P&L management, strategic planning, and operational excellence within the industry.
  • Prior experience within a SaaS/software business is essential.
  • Operating experience within a matrix organization would be valuable.
  • Fluent French and business-level English are required.
