FREDON Normandie is recruiting an inspector for plant health at its Caen site. The organization is recognized as a State-sanctioned Sanitary Organization (OVS) in the plant sector. The role involves monitoring and inspecting for harmful organisms affecting plants across various cultures, including fruit orchards, vegetable crops, forests, and large-scale farming. Responsibilities include visual inspections, trapping insects, following inspection protocols, collecting samples, preparing samples for laboratories, and reporting inspections. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of plant recognition, pests, and diseases, good interpersonal skills, a passion for fieldwork, be organized, autonomous, punctual, rigorous, observant, curious, and proficient in Office tools. A Bac +2/+3 in the plant or environmental field is required, with beginners accepted. The position is based in Colombelles (14), with daily travel using a provided vehicle, a B driving license, a 6-month fixed-term contract starting in May 2025, full-time hours, a gross monthly salary of €2043, and meal allowances.
