Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing processes and methodologies.

Want to join a fast-moving company among hardworking and convivial teams and participate in our Groups procurement roadmap? We are looking for a Global Category Manager Secondary Packaging! You will be based at The Island, our office in central Paris.

Your objectives
  1. Contribute to category sourcing strategy and support category roadmap development and implementation.
  2. Develop programs to maximize value creation along multiple pillars including margin improvement, security of supply & resilience (S&R), quality, and innovation.
  3. Create efficient internal processes and maintain a structured communication matrix with PR affiliates and central functions.
  4. The position reports directly to the Global Category Director.
Your key missions
  1. Support the development of the Global Pernod Ricard category strategy.
  2. Develop and lead category strategy development working alongside the Category Director and partnering with affiliates to cocreate.
  3. Contribute to the definition of the roadmap to deliver objectives along the key pillars.
  4. Manage negotiations and commercial events/tenders on regional and global scales.
  5. Be responsible for the contracting strategy to build the category S&R roadmap supporting the Group's sustainability agenda.
  6. Deliver a pipeline of initiatives with margin improvement projects.
  7. Play a key role in supplier identification, development, and relationship management.
  8. Understand category market dynamics and secure good supplier intelligence.
  9. Engage in potential supplier sourcing base development and business allocation decisions.
  10. Build strong strategic relationships with manufacturers and providers.
Leads supplier performance and improvement
  1. Onboard stakeholders at all levels and facilitate transversal ways of working with affiliates and corporate functions.
  2. Develop effective implementation plans for global activities and follow up on local initiatives.
  3. Provide escalation support for ongoing requests.
  4. Participate actively in Pernod Ricard's procurement transformation.
  5. Lead the development and implementation of best practice procurement tools and processes.
  6. Identify new opportunities to reach category objectives and anticipate risks.
Candidate profile

Professional
  • At least 7 years of experience in procurement with a successful multiyear track record.
  • Experience in FMCG procurement at regional or global level.
  • Preferably experience in direct procurement, specifically packaging.
Technical
  • Experience in building and realizing category strategies independently.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing processes and methodologies.
  • Advanced negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills in English.
  • Practical experience with digital and e-sourcing tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging development and manufacturing processes.
