Job Title: Responsable Equipe Projet - Spécialiste Biodiversité H/F
Within the ARB division, your main missions will include:
We seek an engineer, agronomist, environmental economist, or equivalent with expertise in ecology and natural resource management, with at least ten years of professional experience in biodiversity and ecosystem preservation/restoration. The candidate should have good knowledge of AFD procedures, project engineering skills, familiarity with European and international actors, and proficiency in English. Personal qualities include teamwork, communication skills, negotiation, rigor, autonomy, adaptability, listening skills, and political sensitivity.
The position is based at AFD headquarters in Paris, within the Agriculture, Rural Development, and Biodiversity team (ARB), part of the Sustainable Development Solutions Department. The division manages approximately 300 projects across about 70 countries, with an annual project pipeline of around 50 new projects and a contribution of about one billion euros. It utilizes various financial instruments, including EU funds, CAFI, FVC, and others, focusing on ecological and productive transitions, resilient rural territories, and policies supporting ecological and territorial transitions.
