An established industry player is seeking a Senior Legal Expert to join a consortium for a significant EU-funded project aimed at enhancing the agricultural sector in Ukraine. This role involves leveraging extensive legal expertise to support the alignment of Ukrainian legislation with EU standards, ensuring sustainable and competitive growth. Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Master's Degree in law or related field with relevant experience.

NTU International A / S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU funded project called : Support to align Ukrainian legislation, policies and institutions with EU acquis in agriculture and rural development (IPRSA III) and is searching for experts to support the core team during the implementation of this project.

The overall objective of this assignment is to contribute to a resilient, more inclusive, sustainable and competitive growth-oriented agricultural sector that secures fair rural incomes and investment capacities and respects the environment.

Duration : The intended start date is no later than 1 September 2025 and the period of implementation of the contract will be 40 months from this date.

Key Expert : Senior legal expert

Qualifications and skills :

• At least a Master's Degree (or equivalent) in law, agriculture, agriculture economics or directly related discipline, or bachelor in the same field plus four years of relevant professional experience, or in the absence of a relevant University degree eight years of relevant professional experience;
• Advanced English language skills of at least level C1 (understanding, speaking, writing) required. Language skills in Ukrainian or Russian of at least B2 (understanding, speaking, writing) will be considered an asset.

General professional experience :

• At least 10 years of professional experience relating to the definition, implementation or review of legislation, regulatory frameworks, institutional set up, and related capacity building.

Specific professional experience :

• At least 5 years of professional experience relating to legislation and regulatory development in agriculture and rural development;
• At least 3 years in the legal alignment of national legislation (of non EU member states) with EU legislation required. Such experience with legislation in the agriculture and rural development or fisheries and aquaculture sectors in candidate countries will be considered an asset;
• Participation in at least 2 technical assistance projects in fields relevant to this project, each of minimum 12 months duration, will be considered an asset.
