• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI/Product design with a strong focus on qualitative research.
• Experience designing in a B2B environment, preferably within a software company.

We’re looking for a talented Product Designer to join our Design team of 11, on a permanent basis. We’re open to Mid-level and Senior applicants.

Akeneo Product Designers serve a vital role in the company, from contributing to the vision of their product remit to crafting every detail in the product. In this role, you will be designing apps connecting the Akeneo ecosystem to external platforms.

Outside of the Design team, you will work in a dedicated squad. On a daily basis, you will collaborate closely with product management and engineering to deliver exceptional value to our customers and users.

Your missions:

1. Lead product design activities for your squad, from discovery to delivery. Define plans, methods, and bring squad members together during your design journey.
2. Lead user research end-to-end (user/customer interviews, surveys, usability testing, etc.), leveraging the guidance from one of our User Researchers along the way.
3. Design sketches, flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI in collaboration with your squad & users/customers.
4. Work closely with engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation and outstanding user experience.
5. Co-design with your squad and Design peers. Solicit and provide constructive feedback on a regular basis.
6. Work with our Design Ops and the rest of the Design team to continuously improve our ways of working.
7. Ensure design consistency by contributing to our Design System, allowing us to continuously raise the bar of user experience for our entire product suite.
8. Socialize design internally and externally: Contribute to increasing the design maturity of the business at all levels, across all departments and teams. Be actively involved in getting Akeneo and the Design team known externally by writing in the Akeneo blog, contributing to our brand new Design podcast (coming soon!), etc.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of experience in UX/UI/Product design, with a strong background in UX including qualitative research skills (interviews, usability testing, etc.) and co-creation methods (cross-functional workshops, design jams, design sprints, etc.).
• Significant experience designing in a B2B environment, preferably within a software company.
• Fluent in English, capable of conducting user research, presenting design work, and collaborating with English-speaking teams.
• Possess a growth mindset, high emotional intelligence, and adaptability to change.
• Experience working and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
