GCP OPS is the entity within Schneider Electric responsible for managing and developing complex and international project activities for global accounts and targeted clients through global and regional application centers. Within "Global Engineering & Expertise," which aims to provide a high level of technical expertise to major electrical infrastructure projects, the technical referent ensures the proper level of technical knowledge for tenders and the execution of complex projects.

Your Role

Reporting to the Global Mechanical Systems Expertise Manager, this role has been identified due to increased workload from new projects and tenders. We are seeking a Senior Technical (Structural) Engineering Expert to support and carry out Structural Engineer tasks. You will also support other projects or tenders as needed.

Your Missions

1. Carry out structural calculations, design verifications, and suggest advanced structural schemes to ensure fast-track and efficient construction.
2. Understand complex structural engineering loads (seismic, blast, fatigue, and sea loads) and analysis and test methods.
3. Review switchgear and building structural drawings from designers/suppliers to project specifications and relevant standards and classifications, ensuring deliverables are achieved by due dates.
4. Assist other project engineers and technical leaders where necessary.
5. Support multiple projects and tendering tasks as required.
6. Maintain effective communication with clients and suppliers.
7. Mentor and coach junior engineers as part of the role.
