ERG is seeking a senior-level candidate to support Clean Water Act-related environmental efforts across the United States. We offer technical expertise and high-quality service in the federal and state water sectors to improve the environment and public health. The position is part-time and offers flexible work options, including remote or hybrid arrangements associated with our Chantilly, Virginia office. Job Description:
  1. Support the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and related water programs, focusing on activities in the western U.S. and territories.
  2. Knowledge of stormwater permitting (including MS4s), TMDLs, functional equivalency, water reuse, water quality standards, tribal programs, and training is highly desirable.
  3. Conduct research and analysis of state programs or documents, develop technical reports, and create guidance and training materials.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. More than 20 years of experience in the water sector.
  2. Well-versed in EPA and state policies and programs.
  3. Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related discipline (MS, BS, or BA).
  4. Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
