Your Profile:

What you'll need to succeed in this role:

  • At least 6 years of professional experience in a similar role within Insurance or banking (or a highly regulated environment).
  • A university degree in information technology, computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with applicable insurance regulations and their impact on IT.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop trustworthy relationships with business stakeholders and SMEs (CSO, DPO).
  • Knowledge of current information security affairs, business continuity, data management, security, encryption, vulnerability analysis, and audits.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex IT risks in business terms.
  • Problem-solving and self-management skills for technical issues.
  • Advanced knowledge of organizational technology controls, security, and risk issues.
  • Experience participating in large projects and initiatives, serving as a lead in technology controls and information security.
  • Audit or controls background, Big Four experience, and familiarity with Key Risk Indicators and Technology Risk reporting are pluses.
  • Recognized certifications such as CISM, CISSP, or CRISC are advantageous.
Work Environment:

Within the Group CIO, the IT Department drives digital transformation, supporting local and corporate functions with innovative IT solutions aligned with the Group’s strategy. You will be part of the Governance & Performance team, managing IT services, programs, finance, workforce, governance, risk, and compliance.

Your Role and Daily Missions:

You will collaborate with the Head of Governance and Compliance to secure information, develop strategies to minimize risks, and partner with the business to assess and mitigate potential risks through policies, procedures, training, systems, and controls.

Major Challenges:

The insurance sector faces complex regulatory frameworks like DORA and rapid technological developments. Developing and implementing compliance and risk monitoring strategies, maintaining regulatory and technological awareness, and advocating for security practices are critical.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and managing IT security.
  • Aligning IT control frameworks with global standards and conducting risk reviews.
  • Identifying regulatory and non-regulatory IT risks through assessments.
  • Providing practical solutions for risk issues.
  • Building relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Developing and communicating risk policies and standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Supervising risk and controls reporting.
  • Engaging in risk remediation and monitoring activities.
  • Developing technology risk reports and metrics.
  • Leading process improvements and ensuring adherence to enterprise frameworks.
Key Skills:

Experience in risk management, security controls, project participation, and certifications like CISM, CISSP, or CRISC are preferred. Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills are essential.
