Qualifications

Job Description:

Contract: Permanent/CDI

Segment: Royal Canin

Location: Aimargues (30 minutes from Montpellier) or Haguenau (30 minutes from Strasbourg)

Reporting to the Develop Factory Lead, we are hiring a DevOps Lead who will define and drive the DevOps strategy across the Digital Factory to support the organization's ambitions. The DevOps Lead will work closely with the delivery team, architect, integration team, support team, as well as other Mars teams such as Mars DevOps CoE and Mars Cloud team. They will collaborate with external partners and delivery teams to obtain necessary technical support. The role includes managing a team of 4 external DevOps engineers.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (preferred) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with production Kubernetes clusters and scripting languages like Bash or Python
  • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines such as Github Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps Pipeline
  • Experience managing complex international technical projects
  • Previous experience leading technical teams with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Understanding of digital environments, Agile methodologies, and User-centric approaches

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead the DevOps team
  • Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using tools like Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, etc.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop infrastructure solutions
  • Monitor and maintain infrastructure health using tools like Datadog, Loki, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Troubleshoot complex issues to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Continuously improve infrastructure and deployment processes for security, performance, and scalability
  • Optimize infrastructure costs and reduce carbon footprint to meet 2030 neutrality goals
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Implement deployment strategies like Canary and Blue-Green
  • Drive automation to improve workflows
