Job Description

Pre-Sales

We are seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer with strong technical expertise and a deep understanding of open-source technologies. In this role, you will work closely with sales teams to provide technical insights, demonstrate the value of open-source solutions, and support clients in adopting and integrating these tools into their environments. This position combines technical acumen with client-facing responsibilities to drive successful pre-sales engagements.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales support:

• Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and propose tailored open-source solutions that align with their needs.

• Conduct technical presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to showcase the capabilities and benefits of open-source tools.

• Address technical questions and concerns raised by clients during the pre-sales process, providing clear and actionable responses.

Open Source Expertise:

• Provide in-depth knowledge of open-source frameworks and tools, including their benefits, limitations, and integration capabilities.

• Evaluate client environments to recommend the best open-source technologies for their workflows, infrastructure, or development processes.

• Stay informed about emerging trends in the open-source ecosystem to ensure cutting-edge solutions for clients.

Client Enablement:

• Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and technical documentation to help clients understand and adopt open-source technologies.

• Act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through the technical decision-making process and ensuring they see the value of the proposed solutions.

• Support the integration of open-source tools into client environments during the transition from pre-sales to implementation.

Collaboration and Innovation:

• Work closely with internal teams, including product and engineering, to align client needs with technical capabilities.

• Contribute to the development of reusable assets such as demo environments, technical templates, and case studies for open-source solutions.

• Participate in the open-source community, contributing code, plugins, or other resources to strengthen the ecosystem and build credibility.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with open-source tools and technologies, especially in DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure management.

• Solid understanding of modern software development practices, microservices architectures, and API management.

• Proven ability to conduct technical demos and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering client-centric solutions.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or similar technical client-facing role.

• Familiarity with tools like Kubernetes, Docker, and modern CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.

• Experience contributing to or working with open-source projects is a strong plus.

• Fluent in English and comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
