Job Description:

Institut Curie is a leading organization in cancer research and treatment, comprising a hospital, research center, and headquarters with over 1000 employees, including a strong international presence. The SIREDO center is France's first dedicated to cancers affecting children, adolescents, and young adults under 25, integrating research and care. The center employs more than 70 scientists, 5 research teams, and around fifty caregivers working together to accelerate the fight against these cancers, aiming to improve cure rates among young patients. The SIREDO center seeks to enhance its research collaborations internationally.

The successful candidate will report hierarchically to the Director of the SIREDO center, collaborating closely with the deputy director for translational research, the deputy director for innovation, clinical research and teaching, and the SIREDO manager. The role involves working at the Institut Curie Research Center in close coordination with existing structures.

  • Exercise strategic monitoring of funding sources and international mechanisms, including Horizon Europe and other international programs.
  • Engage with research teams to understand their research topics and funding needs; analyze current and future projects to identify potential applications for calls for projects.
  • Promote the development of new international research and innovation projects by strengthening links between teams and partners at European and international levels.
  • Coordinate and contribute to applications for calls for projects and international funding, assisting in project drafting, including scientific, budgetary, administrative, and communication aspects.
  • Monitor European and international projects alongside scientific teams and ensure the preparation of scientific reports.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in oncology
  • Experience and/or training in project management
  • Excellent command of English
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and adaptability skills
