Position Summary

The Vice President of Sales – Nutraceuticals Europe is responsible for leading the regional sales strategy, managing high-level customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across the European market. This role involves strategic planning, leadership, and close collaboration with marketing, operations, and regulatory teams to expand market share.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Define and implement a scalable sales strategy tailored to the European nutraceuticals market, including market segmentation, pricing, key account planning, and channel development aligned with corporate goals.
  2. Lead business development initiatives and expand into new regions and market segments to ensure sustainable growth.
  3. Set annual budgets, revenue targets, and strategic objectives for the division, aligning with overall corporate strategy.
  4. Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies based on data, customer insights, and competitor analysis.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at major customer organizations, advocating for customer needs internally to foster loyalty.
  6. Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and R&D to develop go-to-market strategies, launch new products, and enhance brand visibility in the nutraceutical space.
  7. Oversee customer-specific solutions, including formulations, supply agreements, and technical collaborations.
  8. Analyze sales data and KPIs to improve forecasting, resource allocation, and processes.
  9. Represent Actylis at trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings as a thought leader and brand ambassador in Europe.
  10. Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective communication and execution across functions.
  11. Ensure compliance with regulations and mitigate risks in commercial agreements, working with legal and compliance teams.
  12. Partner with HR to manage and develop the sales team.
Human Resource Responsibilities
  1. Lead, coach, and develop the sales team through feedback, training, and motivation.
  2. Handle performance issues and disciplinary actions as needed.
  3. Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.
  4. Set clear performance goals and KPIs aligned with business objectives.
  5. Identify talent and succession planning for sales leadership roles.
  6. Participate in recruitment and onboarding processes.
  7. Support HR initiatives related to learning, diversity, and employee engagement.
  8. Represent the sales team in HR policy discussions and ensure smooth communication.
  9. Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Required Experience & Knowledge

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field.
  • 10+ years in B2B sales, including 5+ years in leadership roles within nutraceuticals or life sciences.

Knowledge, Skills, Certifications:

  • Proven success in building and scaling sales teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Deep understanding of European markets and regulations.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manage Regional Sales Managers and Strategic Account Managers.
Work Environment
  • Remote role with travel within Europe.
