This position is part of the MaLISSiA project, which explores a geocognitive approach to geomodelling based on geological knowledge formalisation and interpretation. The project involves developing an interpretation algorithm using Python and C++, integrating machine learning strategies, and constructing a geological corpus. Responsibilities include code development, bibliographic research, supervising MSc students, and scientific publication and communication.
The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in science, preferably with experience in numerical geology or informatics, and skills in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, 3D modelling, and photogrammetry. Programming skills in Python, experience with development tools, documentation, and project management are required. Enthusiasm for teamwork, synthesis, and communication in English is essential, with some French skills advantageous.
