Job Description:

Our client, a hard rock mining operation in North Africa, is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to enhance and develop business processes.

The mine is operational and profitable. The owners aim to further improve business processes and align the operation with international standards.

The COO will report to the CEO and oversee all operational aspects of the mine. The Site Director, responsible for daily mining activities, will report to this role.

This strategic position focuses on overall effectiveness, efficiency, and process improvement for the site. The ideal candidate will have experience managing mines for international or listed companies, bringing global standards and perspectives to the operation.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, or related field
  • Extensive experience leading mining operations within international or listed companies
  • Preferably, experience in hard rock mining
  • Proven ability to implement new standards and processes while maintaining team engagement and performance
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Willingness to work rotationally in North Africa
