Description du poste

The Geology and Mining Manager (M / F) is a member of the management of Eramet's Central Technical Division and plays a strategic role within the Group. He / She reports to the Chief Technical Officer of the Eramet Group Operations Division.

His area of expertise is geology and mine planning.

He / she works closely with the Technical Departments of the Operations sites and the Technical Division management team.

Responsibilities :

  1. Define Group standards and practices in geosciences, mining engineering, tactical and strategic mine planning.
  2. Work with the Group's subsidiaries to manage their sites, to increase risk control and improve competitiveness.
  3. Update the Group's practice guides for the Eramet value chain elements under its responsibility, within the EPS (Eramet Production System) reference system.
  4. Participate in developing EPS deployment strategies for geology and mining activities.
  5. Provide on-site support to implement these standards effectively.
  6. Manage and lead the ICG mining (international competence group) to leverage field expertise in building best practices.
  7. Contribute to defining strategic and operational plans for the Group's mining activities.
  8. Collaborate with the IT Department to steer and implement the digitalization and innovation roadmap for geological and mine engineering activities.
  9. Oversee risk assessments and control deployments related to resources, reserves, hydrogeology, erosion, surface water, geotechnics, industrial mining risks, and performance across all Group sites.
  10. Develop and update financial models of the value chain in collaboration with the finance department, setting ambitious targets for improvement.
  11. Lead the team towards excellence through continuous improvement, benchmarking, and innovation in mining processes.

Your Profile :

Engineering or Master 2 degree with specialization in mining and geology, with at least 15 years of mining experience, and the following skills :

  1. Deep understanding of the mining process from resource estimation to marketing.
  2. Strong geological and mining technical skills.
  3. Expertise in Project Management, Operational Excellence, and Mining Economics.
  4. Thoroughness and ability to synthesize complex information.
  5. Results-oriented and proactive attitude.
  6. Curiosity, adaptability, and open-mindedness.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
  8. Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
