Maison Margiela is a Paris-based fashion house founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela. We are seeking a Social Media Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive impactful social media strategy, enhancing our brand presence across all digital platforms. You will lead social media activities by working closely with marketing, PR, creative, and e-commerce teams to design innovative social campaigns and engaging content that boost desirability and engagement with the brand.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and implementation of the global social media strategy in line with Maison Margiela's new creative direction to strengthen brand identity and storytelling.
- Develop and execute cutting-edge social media strategies aligned with the brand’s identity and commercial objectives. Collaborate with creative teams to produce impactful content reflecting Maison Margiela’s DNA, aesthetic, and unconventional approach.
- Oversee the overall social media approach and work with regional teams to ensure local channel implementation of the strategy.
- Supervise and collaborate with the artistic direction team to create high-quality visual content and engaging storytelling across all social platforms.
- Define KPIs and utilize analytical data to continuously optimize performance, engagement, and audience growth.
- Develop strategies for influencer partnerships, brand collaborations, and community engagement initiatives.
- Stay informed of digital and social trends to identify new opportunities for innovation and audience connection.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deploy impactful social campaigns that enhance brand awareness and community engagement.
- Manage social media budgets and work with the paid social team to amplify organic content.
- Ensure brand consistency and tone across all digital touchpoints, adapting content to regional needs.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to management.*
Qualifications & Experience:- 7-8 years of experience managing social media within the luxury, fashion, or beauty industry.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful social media strategies for an international brand.
- Excellent understanding of luxury consumers and digital trends.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and external partners.
- Exceptional storytelling, content curation, and editorial writing skills.
- Analytical mindset with expertise in social media analytics tools.
- Passion for luxury, creativity, and innovation in digital marketing.
- Fluent in English and French (Italian is a plus).
