Qualifications

Description du poste

Contract: full time and permanent

Location: Position based at Neuilly-sur-Seine.

Reports to: Head of Internal Audit - Europe

About the role:

Chanel’s Internal Audit Department is an independent and objective team of audit professionals striving to promote positive transformation while cultivating our core values. Our mission is to assess business practices, identify risks and recommend process improvements to promote progress and efficiency at Chanel and its extended ecosystem of suppliers. Through collaboration with our business partners, we strive to enhance operational efficiency by leveraging best practices to support the key priorities of the company.

Within this department, we are looking for an Internal Auditor.

You will be responsible for auditing operational and financial processes for all the Divisions (Fashion, Watchmaking and Jewellery, Perfumes and Beauty) and support functions of the CHANEL House covering the boutiques and subsidiaries in Europe including France and Switzerland, and the Middle East.

What impact you can create at Chanel:

You will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Execute audit projects based on the approved internal audit plan. Evaluation and testing of internal control processes;
  • Prepare audit work programme for audit projects based on risk assessment;
  • Perform data analytics on exceptional transactions and business trends;
  • Documentation of the tests performed and drafting of audit reports with recommendations in a clear, concise and relevant manner, with an explanation of the risks;
  • Maintain a regular and professional level of communication with the different interlocutors (auditees, management, etc.);
  • Presentation and discussion of audit findings with management;
  • Ensure the implementation of action plans and their follow-up;
  • Promote the strengthening of internal control mechanisms in the Group's subsidiaries by acting as a reference on best practices and providing recommendations to improve the internal control environment and operational efficiency;
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and provide constructive suggestions.

What you will bring to the role and what you will gain from this experience:

You will be required to have at least 8 years experience in internal auditing in a company. Experience of being an external auditor in an audit firm is a plus. You will be required to have a degree in business or engineering and ideally hold the CIA or CFE.

You will have a strong analytical mind, excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, proactivity, and a capacity for challenge.

Knowledge of data analytics tools would be an advantage.

The job requires a certain level of travel, mainly within Europe.
