Position: Senior Data Scientist in Debt Collection

Reporting to the Lead Data Scientist, you will optimize recovery journeys using data-driven strategies, leverage AI to enhance client communications, design impact measurement frameworks, collaborate with business teams, and proactively drive innovation.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Conduct advanced customer segmentation and leverage Machine Learning models to define and optimize contact strategies, improving collection effectiveness.
2. Explore and leverage generative models (LLMs) to innovate personalized communication content for debt collection situations.
3. Measure and analyze the impact of deployed strategies and models on KPIs related to debt collection and customer satisfaction.
4. Propose and implement continuous improvements to the debt collection process based on data analysis and emerging technological opportunities.
5. Act as a project manager, collaborating with debt collection teams, data engineers, ML engineers, and risk management teams to ensure effective deployment and validation of models.

Candidate profile:

We seek an experienced and motivated data science leader with:

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.
• At least 3 years of experience in Data Science, with a proven track record of deploying production-grade ML systems.
• Previous experience in debt collection optimization.

Skills required:

• Proficiency in Python and/or R.
• Strong statistical analysis and hypothesis testing skills.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and applications.
• Expertise in data wrangling and preprocessing.
• SQL proficiency for complex queries.
• Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
• Good time management, business acumen, and result-oriented approach.
