Job Title: Human Resources & Office Manager
Location: Fully remote - must have remote-first experience and French labour law knowledge

Role Overview:
Seeking a proactive and strategic Human Resources & Office Manager (HRO Manager) to lead HR and operational excellence within a remote-first team. You will shape company culture, manage core HR processes, and ensure systems, tools, and people strategies scale with growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
- Attract and retain talent via effective recruitment strategies
- Lead performance management and promote employee well-being
- Design and implement career development frameworks
- Manage and automate HR administration (payroll, expenses, attendance, travel)
- Ensure compliance with labour regulations in an international environment
- Define and monitor HR KPIs such as gender balance, equal pay, and engagement
- Coach managers to develop leadership skills
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Implement and manage HR tools for a distributed workforce
- Oversee payroll operations with finance partners
Office & Culture Management:
- Foster a remote-first work culture
- Organise virtual and hybrid events to boost morale
- Serve as a key contact for remote operations and asynchronous communication
- Enhance digital collaboration through platforms like Slack, Notion, and HRIS
Requirements:
Minimum:
- Fluent in French and English; third language is a plus
- Strong knowledge of French labour law (Master’s or PhD preferred)
- Based in Paris, supporting remote-first operations
- Experience in HR within an early-stage startup (Series A–B, <100 employees)
- Must have remote-only or remote-first work experience
- Experience implementing HR tools and systems in startups
- Digital operations expertise, including tools like Slack
- Payroll and administrative process management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office
Nice to Have:
- Background in recruitment or agency work
- Scientific training in biology, biotech, or computer science
- Coaching certification or leadership development experience
