What you will do

As Senior Data Architect, your mission is to define and design secured and adaptable data environments for data management and analytics to provide access to high-quality, consistent data in an easy and convenient manner to all authorized end users.

1. You will interact with various stakeholders such as Data Analysts, Solution Architects, Business Process Developers, capability leads, and global teams to provide them with the right architecture for their data solutions – based on ITSM and Foundation data.
2. You will support product delivery teams, providing architecture leadership and support within the end-to-end lifecycle of managing data.
3. You will work with data modeling and data transformation, defining and deploying data management and analytical services, including reporting, analytics, machine learning, AI, data quality, master data management, and data provisioning.
4. You will be part of the IT Performance Management Team, focusing on performance analytics using platforms like Power BI or ServiceNow, and architecture expertise to support a healthy and sustainable IT ecosystem.

Who are you?

We are looking for a person with teamwork and innovation spirit, proven experience as a Data Architect, and experience supporting a team in a complex enterprise environment.

• Strong experience in mentoring and coaching Architects, with good knowledge of ITSM data, especially ServiceNow or similar environments.
• Effective communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders, able to define priorities and technical solutions aligned with strategic goals.
• Ability to define roadmaps and vision for data environments, supporting continuous learning and community engagement.
• Critical thinking, complex problem solving, and ownership mindset.
• Alignment with Volvo’s core values, appreciation of diversity, and ability to work cross-functionally in a multicultural environment.
• Experience supporting global organizations with ITSM Data Architecture and stakeholder relationship management.
• Knowledge of Volvo environment is a plus.
• Strong leadership, commitment, and a minimum of 7 years as a Data Architect.
• Relevant university degree and full proficiency in English.
