Senior Director of Operations | Fit Fusion (a Crunch Fitness Franchisee)
Overview
The Senior Director of Operations will be responsible for strategic planning, execution, and optimization of day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, and contributing to organizational success throughout our network of franchise locations. This leadership role involves overseeing operations initiatives across multiple locations, leveraging analytics to drive data-driven decision-making, while implementing strategies and processes to increase sales, operational efficiency and increase the customer lifetime value. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both operations and sales with extensive experience in leading teams within a franchise or multi-location environment.
The leader we are looking for possesses excellent organizational, leadership, teamwork and communication skills, and has a proven career track record with progressive levels of responsibility in the fitness industry. The contributions of this Senior Director will drive sales while continuing to strengthen member and vendor relationships while helping us exceed our overall business objectives for revenue, profitability and growth.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
  • Develop and implement operational strategies and processes to optimize facility performance throughout the Fit Fusion network of Crunch locations.
  • Oversee network operations including training & development with an emphasis on performance management.
  • Manage facility budgets and report on key performance indicators.
  • Oversee network program on facility management including gym audits to ensure all locations follow brand standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Team Management
  • Lead and motivate a team of fitness professionals, including general managers and assistant general managers throughout the network.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and develop staff training programs.
  • Set goals and key performance indicators for each location based on analysis of both current and historical data.
Sales and Production
  • Set and monitor goals for sales and production for the network
  • Collaborate with marketing on key initiatives designed to drive top sales in both the membership category and personal training.
  • Train and develop gym level leadership on both sales and member experience to accelerate network growth.
Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategic plans for operational excellence throughout the Fit Fusion network.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
Other Responsibilities
  • Manage vendor relationships as needed in conjunction with operational items.
  • Oversee execution of promotional events designed to enhance sales and the member experience.
  • Implement new programs and services to adhere to Crunch brand standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in fitness leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a multi-location or franchisee environment
  • Proven track record of operational excellence in the fitness industry
  • Strong expertise in business analytics, including proficiency member management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to use data analytics to improve customer lifetime value and increase network performance
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple initiatives, and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Passion for fitness and wellness, with a commitment to staying current on industry trends and innovations
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout our network of locations
Reporting Structure
  • Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Works in conjunction with the Fit Fusion executive team
