Silvaco is seeking a software engineer to join our device simulation team at one of our European offices. The Device Software Developer will work within the TCAD group to develop and deliver high-quality products and services.

As part of the team, you will design, implement, evaluate, and improve physical models and methods for semiconductor device simulation. The ideal candidate will be an experienced software engineer with expertise in semiconductor device simulation and possess the following skills and responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Develop, support, test, and maintain existing simulation software.
  • Identify limitations of current software components and improve simulation methodologies.
  • Develop and implement physical models and test new models.
  • Plan and execute tasks independently using experience and judgment.
  • Communicate complex ideas and testing results effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Provide accurate documentation and demonstrate good organizational and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications and Required Experience
  • Proficiency in C++ and software design.
  • Experience working in team-based software development environments.
  • Strong fundamentals in solid-state physics.
  • Experience in discretizing and solving nonlinear systems and simulating semiconductor devices.
