Are you a personable, organized HR professional looking to make a difference in a family-owned manufacturing business? Our team members are our greatest asset, and having the right Human Resources Associate is key to our success. This is a full-time, onsite role at our facility in Portland, PA.

Position Summary

This position will perform Benefits and HR Administration as well as manage the Recruiting & Onboarding processes. We are a small, effective team searching for a new member who brings a positive attitude and a willingness to jump in and get things done! Starting hourly rate up to $27.00.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  1. Manage full-cycle recruitment for all non-exempt positions in collaboration with the management team, utilizing innovative recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain talented staff.
  2. Onboard new employees on their first day, including completing forms and conducting a plant tour if necessary.

Benefits Administration

  1. Administer all employee benefit plans (Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA, 401k, etc.).
  2. Assist employees with questions regarding benefit plans throughout the year.
  3. Review and reconcile monthly benefit billing, communicating any discrepancies.
  4. Prepare and support all benefit enrollment processes for health and 401k plans.
  5. Partner with third-party administrators on COBRA and leave of absence programs.
  6. Assist with the preparation of health and 401k regulatory compliance filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

HR Administration

  1. Distribute, collect, and maintain all performance-related and disciplinary paperwork.
  2. Oversee weekly attendance reporting and process warning notices.
  3. Develop and generate HRIS reports as needed.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee benefit files.
  5. Update LMS and mass communication platforms as necessary.

Experience & Qualifications

  1. An Associate's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  2. 3+ years of experience in an HR role.
  3. 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  4. 2+ years of benefits administration and reporting experience.
  5. Practical knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  6. Bilingual ability in Spanish is a plus but not required.
  7. Experience with iSolved HRIS systems.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
