The role

Are you eager to join a team managing the expansion, fit-out, and launch of state-of-the-art Fulfillment Centers (FCs) that are vital to Amazon's success and customer support in a dynamic environment? This role offers opportunities to travel and work across multiple countries and cultures.

The position is based in France, with 50% travel domestically or to other EMEA countries. As an experienced Project Manager, you will ensure FCs are built on time and within budget by coordinating various teams and stakeholders. You will support Amazon's European fulfillment network expansion, leading and influencing cross-functional teams for project execution and driving long-term business strategy through standardization.

Ideal candidates are self-starters with a solid Project Management background, experienced in managing large, fast-paced projects. You should be capable of leading and mentoring project teams, managing risks, and working effectively with stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the organization.

Travel and work across multiple countries and cultures are integral to this role. The position can be located anywhere in France, Spain, or Italy.

Key job responsibilities

• Manage CAPEX projects for fulfillment operations within a multicultural organization
• Own end-to-end warehouse project deliverables
• Develop integrated project schedules, resource plans, and optimize schedules across multiple projects
• Communicate effectively with subject matter experts in various fields such as Construction, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Legal
• Coordinate schedules with vendors and manage purchase orders
• Hold regular meetings to track progress and address risks and issues
• Work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment

A day in the life

You will develop and execute business cases for operational fulfillment centers, engage with all organizational levels, oversee site development from greenfield to operational, and coordinate stakeholders to ensure successful launches.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations, Business Administration, or related fields
• Fluency in English and French
• Experience in project management and implementation, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
• Leadership experience with cross-functional teams
• Experience managing infrastructure projects
• Management and development of teams and project resources
• Full budget ownership and control
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
• Basic experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong negotiation and communication skills with external and internal partners
• Hands-on approach and willingness to assist as needed
• Experience in installing technical equipment and managing operations ramp-up in logistics centers
• Knowledge of material handling equipment and BIM/CAD software
• Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment
• Experience in process or supply chain optimization
• Project Management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.)
• Experience launching large facilities, including equipment deployment
• Additional language skills such as German, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu are preferred
