About the role:

OpenZeppelin is a leading provider of security audits and development services in the blockchain space, working with top-tier projects to ensure the safety and success of their smart contracts and infrastructure. As part of our mission to scale secure and impactful ecosystem partnerships, we are expanding our Project Management Office (PMO).

What you'll be doing:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Manager to join our team, focusing on supporting OpenZeppelin’s expanding ecosystem of partnerships. This role will be critical in ensuring the smooth execution of ecosystem engagements by providing structured project oversight, fostering communication, and optimizing delivery processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about blockchain, thrives in a dynamic environment, and excels at multi-stakeholder coordination.

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of ecosystem engagements, supporting the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure.
  • Facilitate communication between internal teams (engineering, security, product) and external partners to ensure alignment on project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Track project milestones and maintain project documentation to provide clear visibility into status and progress.
  • Help establish and maintain realistic resource allocation plans, considering team capacity and project priorities.
  • Participate in pre-handoff planning sessions to ensure readiness for new partnerships.
  • Collect feedback from ecosystem partners post-delivery to help improve processes and foster long-term relationship management.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and internal documentation, such as the Ecosystem PM Handbook.
  • Assist in the implementation of internal tools (e.g., budgeting templates, cost estimation frameworks) to enhance operational efficiency.
You have:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of experience in project management, preferably in a tech-driven environment; exposure to blockchain or open-source projects is a plus.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multi-stakeholder communications across diverse teams.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Technical Acumen: Comfort with technical concepts in blockchain or software development; able to bridge communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Tools: Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, or similar platforms.
Nice to have:
  • Technical experience with blockchain technologies, Solidity, or cybersecurity.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Scrum Master, etc).
  • Advanced knowledge of GitHub.
  • PMO or other people management experience.
Logistics:

All positions at OpenZeppelin are 100% remote, however you must be located/able to work in the Americas or European time zones to be considered for this position. Our interview process takes place on Zoom and tends to consist of the following stages:

  • PM Team Interview 60mins)
  • Leadership Interview (30mins)
  • Paid work test (Lasting up to 10 days)
