About The Role

About this opportunity

As a member of our Technical and Environmental Team, you will carry out building surveying commissions, full technical due diligence missions (and other related advisory missions for investors/lenders), and monitor construction projects’ progress on behalf of investors and lenders. You will identify, assess, and advise on issues that could impact investments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering high-quality services ensuring deliverables meet customer requirements and Gleeds’ standards.
  • Conducting building inspections to evaluate property condition, including surveys, dilapidation advice, and party wall advice.
  • Identifying potential risks and liabilities, such as structural defects, maintenance issues, and code compliance concerns.
  • Reviewing documentation like building plans, permits, maintenance records, and certificates for accuracy and compliance.
  • Preparing comprehensive due diligence reports and CAPEX strategies based on client’s business plans and maintenance programs.
  • Advising on legal, regulatory, urban planning, and technical developments affecting investment strategies or construction projects.
  • Carrying out Project Monitoring missions, controlling and reporting on construction quality, progress, and contractual alignment.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and project team members.
  • Collaborating with specialists such as environmental consultants or structural engineers.
  • Ensuring all financial and quantitative data are independently checked and documented.
  • Remaining within your role’s scope and conducting additional responsibilities with managerial approval.

About The Candidate

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge, and Key Skills

  • 5-10 years in technical due diligence and project monitoring within the Real Estate sector.
  • Good knowledge of normative maintenance levels and asset management strategies.
  • Understanding of different real estate asset types and their technical constraints.
  • Technical knowledge covering building standards, safety regulations, construction methods, and energy transition.
  • Familiarity with technical equipment inspections, lease and contract specifics, and insurance standards.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in French and English.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or similar.
