Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with public authorities at different levels related to Xiaomi's business, including ministries and local authorities. Arrange meetings for top management and expert units with government officials and key stakeholders.
- Provide in-depth analysis of digital industry policies and regulations related to Xiaomi’s business in France and wider Europe, identify potential risks, and offer policy advice.
- Actively interact with industrial associations relevant to Xiaomi’s business, and develop and manage a network of contacts with industrial partners.
- Based in Xiaomi’s Paris/Billancourt office, coordinate internal and external stakeholders to formulate Xiaomi’s position on relevant policy topics.
- Represent Xiaomi’s position in regular interactions with government actors, research institutes, international organizations, and other public agencies.
- Collaborate with local business units (such as sales and marketing teams) and support relevant issues.
- Apply for relevant licenses and certifications where government approval is needed.
- Assist the French team in conducting policy analysis and facilitating activities at French and European levels.
- Lead relevant CSR projects and support CSR-related topics or activities for HQ or the France region.
- Coordinate IP-related advocacy activities.
Essential Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience dealing with government departments and public authorities; experience in government or GR/PA departments of corporations is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of the global and European ICT industry and industrial policy development.
- Objective-oriented with strong analytical, presentation, and business skills. Self-motivated, resilient, with excellent self-management and time-management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and social skills, able to represent Xiaomi positively and sociably.
- Good judgment about regulatory trends and ICT market trends, with the ability to find solutions in complex and uncertain situations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations, International Studies, Political Science, Laws, or similar disciplines.
- Native French speaker with proficient spoken and written English; proficiency in Mandarin or other EU languages is a bonus.
