We are currently looking for Manager France MS&IS – Sales UCR B&I to join us in France, Wavin France S.A.S. This is a country-level role which will require frequent travel within France for business development. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Main purpose

The role will be commercially responsible for developing and executing the growth strategy and leading the profitable upstream sales growth of the Urban Climate Resilience (UCR) business segment, focusing on the complete UCR value offer.

Focus will be on technical concept and solution selling to upstream stakeholders. Ensuring our Wavin B&I services are leveraged (design, engineering, customer service) and our solutions are specified, ordered, and used in the construction process. Key to success is sound pipeline management with an upstream focus on projects/opportunities, as well as people leadership by fostering relationships, building trust, and guiding the sales team toward growth.

Main responsibilities :

  • Positive engagement towards Health and Safety following all guidelines
  • Achieve profitable sales growth of the UCR business through development and execution of go-to-market strategy aligned with the UCR Global strategy
  • Accountable for own sales results; proactively seek and realize new business opportunities
  • Build a solid project pipeline within the UCR business
  • Become a trusted advisor and partner for investors, developers, specifiers, architects, and partners early in the project value chain to shape client vision, display thought leadership, promote integrated solutions, and support customers during the design phase
  • Execute the commercial country plan, translating it into account development plans and action projects for target customer segments
  • Utilize CRM to manage the commercial business, keep customer accounts updated, log face-to-face meetings, and share account development progress
  • Plan and work according to SAMBA methodology, coaching sales team members accordingly
  • Share insights on short- and long-term commercial opportunities and challenges
  • Build & lead the local upstream UCR team in your country/territory
  • Collaborate with UCR Product Management and Design & Engineering teams to develop technical competencies
  • Support cross-sales with other business segments (e.g., rainwater, infrastructure, ICS)
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team
  • Ensure all activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements

Our requirements :

  • M.Sc. in a relevant field such as hydraulic engineering, civil engineering, stormwater management, water treatment, urban planning, or similar
  • 10+ years of relevant commercial experience from engineering companies or end-client engineering teams
  • Broad understanding of stormwater management and Urban Climate Resilience challenges or ability to acquire it
  • Experience in executing go-to-market strategies and activating key clients
  • Proven track record in project sales and understanding full project scopes, with the ability to sell integrated solutions and cross-sell
  • Strong commercial excellence skills with experience in change management
  • Excellent client-facing skills, capable of inspiring and transforming client pains into demand, with experience in presentations, proposals, procurement, and technical interactions
  • Knowledge of the French market opportunities and challenges
  • Team player, motivator, and excellent communicator across cultures
