Job Description

This role is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the business unit human resource processes. This position reports to the HR Manager Region and is responsible for strategy execution for their various areas of responsibility, championing team leadership across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage human resources operations by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, workforce planning, performance reviews (in line with line manager & business leads), and compensation & benefits review, audit support/recommendations, and employee documentation process.
  2. Full ownership of the rollout, implementation, and follow-up of all HR strategic initiatives, ensuring that KPIs for such initiatives are met.
  3. Participate in the EMEA HR team as an active voice for the business, ensuring that the perspective has been voiced and considered prior to any project/process implementation in the region, including supporting communication plans and stakeholder engagement.
  4. Guide BU finance manager and Business Leads in line with the overall regional strategy on budgeting & maintenance of human capital costs (salaries, benefits & services) and advise regional HR on possible cost-saving opportunities.
  5. Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organizational values.
  6. Own employee regulatory compliance/legislation by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions, including labour relations and employment status rules.
  7. Act as a thinking partner & adviser, focused on achieving functional (HR) targets and overall business short, mid & long-term targets.
  8. Ensure that all processes are updated to reflect the overall regional goals, including role profiles, employment contracts, termination procedures, and leave processes.
  9. Update job knowledge by participating in professional organizations focused on Human Resources and industry-related networks.
  10. Ensure HR results and targets are met in the respective matrixed organization/functions.
  11. Timely escalation of issues or ‘grey areas’.

Job Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 5 - 8 years of Human Resource experience, with at least 3 years overseeing an area within the function.
  2. Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
  3. Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of 4 years of mid-level HR experience, including experience leading a business unit HR process implementation.
