Description du poste

Datacenter People are working with one of Europe’s biggest construction engineering companies to find them a Lead Mechanical Engineer in France. We are looking for someone with experience of pre construction design studies for HVAC installations in Data Centers across the whole of France. This position will be working on the early design phase of new data center construction projects across the whole of France. Duties will include : Design all HVAC installations for every phase of the project, define the system architectures that meet the client’s needs and project typology, size the installations, perform the necessary calculations, and describe the selected solutions. Organize and control the quality of the production of plans and schematics related to your specialty within your projects. Monitor the execution of works in collaboration with the designated companies and clients, ensuring a smooth handover of installations and overseeing final inspections (OPR). Conduct technical audits when required. Your Skills and Expertise Will Enable You To : Ensure the technical and contractual compliance of HVAC operations and intervene when necessary. Contribute to defining project deliverables for each phase in accordance with operational budgets and deadlines. Assist in the validation of technical choices and concepts proposed by project managers. Participate in the review and quality control of project documentation before distribution. Support operational tracking by identifying the necessary resources based on project timelines (graphic resources, reinforcements if needed, etc.) and allocated budgets. Provide regular reporting to the department manager regarding your area of expertise. Participate in and contribute to business meetings, both internally and externally, to advocate for the department's and the company’s interests. Experience Required : Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Experience with 3D navigation in REVIT Knowledge of AutoCAD Familiarity with thermal and life cycle assessment (LCA) software Regulatory Knowledge : Understanding of laws, standards, and regulations related to the HVAC specialty Data Center design experience.
