Description du poste

C&A is hiring for the role of : VM Manager, France. The role reports directly to the Country Lead with a functional dot-line into VM Europe. You will be managing a national portfolio of around 100 stores.

As VM Manager France, you ensure that the level of Visual Merchandising, in the assigned market, is executed commercially and consistently and always in line with the European Visual Merchandising strategy and central / local sales management. You will inspire, lead and develop VM teams to guarantee a high level of execution, consistency and ongoing training to ensure strong commerciality and retail standards across all stores.

Your responsibilities

  • Definition and implementation of Visual Merchandising strategy : Drive sales performance and ensure operational excellence, guaranteeing a high level of consumer satisfaction and securing consistent execution of the standards required by the company.
  • Supervision of regional teams : Manage, coordinate and develop regional Visual Merchandiser teams on an operational and commercial level, based on company standards and key performance indicators. Recruit, train and evaluate regional Visual Merchandiser teams.
  • Competitive intelligence and market analysis : Understand market trends, competitor actions and consumer expectations to adapt and innovate merchandising.
  • Monitoring performance indicators : Analyze key indicators such as sales, conversion rate, number of pieces per ticket, in order to adjust product presentation strategies. Have business acumen and analyze sales reports and key performance indicators.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Lead(s) to meet business needs.
  • Be a role model to exceed customer expectations and lead by example.

What you bring

  • Education : You have (at minimum) a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience : 10 years experience in Visual Merchandising with a minimum of 5 years experience as Visual Merchandising Manager, ideally at national or regional level, with significant experience in the fashion industry.
  • Technical skills : Expertise in merchandising techniques. You come from a ready-to-wear background and have a excellent knowledge of and an affinity for fashion, styles and current trends.
  • Managerial skills : You have managed teams of at least 10 people with excellent leadership skills. You have the ability to inspire and motivate teams. You communicate openly and transparently with all cross-functional teams in the field, as well as with national and European teams.
  • Mobility : The position is based in our France head office in La Défense and requires a willingness and flexibility to travel nation-wide (occasional travel within Europe is possible).
  • Language : You have a good command of written and spoken English and are able to work cross-functionally.
