Job Opportunity: Team Leader for EU-China Digital Policy Project

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the implementation of the EU-funded project titled: European Perspectives on Digital China (EPDC). We are seeking experts to support the core team during this project's execution.

The main objective of this assignment is to enhance the resilience of EU bilateral relations with China in the fields of digital policies and technologies.

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Duration: Starting October 2025, with a contract period of 36 months

Key Expert: Team Leader

Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as Public Policies, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, China Studies, Law, Engineering, Science and Technology, or Business Administration. In absence, a Bachelor’s degree plus five years of additional relevant experience.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills demonstrated through relevant past experience.
• Proficiency in English (CEFR level C1 or higher), evidenced by certificate or experience.
• Knowledge of Chinese (CEFR level B1 or higher) is an asset, demonstrated by certificate or experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in sectors like digital policies, AI, semiconductors, 5G, data economy, cloud computing, surveillance technology, smart cities, cybersecurity, telecommunications, e-commerce, or mobile payments.
• At least two research assignments in digital policies or related strategic studies over the past 5 years, totaling at least 1 year.
• Experience as a team leader or in a leading role in at least one assignment over the last 5 years.
• Experience working on EU-China strategic priorities is an asset.
• Knowledge of the Chinese digital sector and EU digital policies are assets.
• Experience working with networks of experts or researchers from academic, think-tank, research, legal, consulting, or related institutions is an asset.
• Knowledge of EU procedures, especially related to service contracts, is an asset.
