Description du poste

Founded in 2007, Akuo is a fast-growing independent producer of renewable and distributed energy, with operations in more than 20 countries worldwide. The Group is involved in the entire value chain: development, financing, construction and operation of solar, wind and storage power plants.

Since its creation, Akuo has been promoting a decentralized, sustainable energy model to meet local needs, developing the first Agrinergie power plants (known as "agrivoltaic") in 2011, which combines renewable energy production with sustainable agriculture.

Job Description

This position is part of the S&E (Structuring & Execution) department, which encompasses the following areas of expertise: project management, contract and purchasing management, supply chain management, construction management, technical expertise, being responsible for two main work streams in the following areas:

  1. Continuous improvement of our methods: Improve, complete and deploy processes, tools, models and training (including interfaces with other business units), based on REX.
  2. Support projects in their various phases, taking on S&E roles (linked to our areas of expertise) in project teams, with a particular focus on the structuring and execution phases.

Main responsibilities & missions:

Lead the coordination of projects in structuration and execution:

  1. Coordinate projects in structuration phase, normally from PPA securisation until Financial Close mainly under non-recourse project finance scheme.
  2. Coordinate projects in execution phase, from Financial Close until Take Over, being in charge of the overall completion of the execution phase mainly in managing the construction contracts, the site activities, the cost follow up and the Lenders and/or Equity partners relationship.
  3. Support CapEx, OpEx and other Financial Model assumptions and optimizations aiming to reach expected Project economics in coordination with the Project Team.
  4. Contribute to the selection, negotiation and enforcement of the EPC, O&M and other supply agreements, in coordination with the Project Team.
  5. Report HSE, E&S, contractual issues, schedule, budget, and progress follow up and manage the construction site team in charge of the day-to-day activities on site.

Set the framework and coordinate the project team:

  1. Ensure proper coordination between team members (core and extended team) in accordance with agreed framework and targeted KPIs of the projects.
  2. Deployment of processes and implementation of methods, tools and best practices in projects under structuration and execution, in line with the Group strategy, industry HSE and quality standards.
  3. Animate internal Kick Off Meetings, steering committees, regional committees and Board Approval committees.
  4. Coordinate i) handover to execution team and/or asset management team, at the end of structuration and/or execution phases, ii) lessons learned meetings.

Qualifications

Project Management

  1. Experience in managing renewable energy project teams under structuration and/or execution phases within the framework established in the road map, in accordance with safety requirements, schedule and budget and established governance.
  2. Strong background coordinating and managing the interfaces between project's stakeholders such as the project team, lenders, equity investors, administrations, contractors, third parties.
  3. Ability to perform risk assessment and technical due diligence.
  4. French and English mandatory. Spanish or other language is a plus.
  5. Autonomy, proactivity, agility and flexibility as well as ability to interfacing with various internal and external stakeholders.

  1. Type of contract: permanent.
  2. The position is open to remote work, up to 2 days per week + 10 floating days per year (i.e. 100 days per year).
