The Sanofi CHC's Data Privacy Team consists of a Global Data Privacy Officer, a network of Regional Privacy Officers (‘RPO’) with regional oversight, and a Global Privacy Office with global oversight. The main responsibilities of an RPO are to support Sanofi CHC initiatives and ensure the implementation of appropriate data protection measures at the local level. The Global Privacy Office’s responsibilities include:

  1. Developing, maintaining, and overseeing the overall functioning of the Sanofi CHC’s Privacy Management System (policies, guidelines, standards, tools, procedures, self-help, and training resources);
  2. Serving as a shared support service for the network of RPOs;
  3. Providing day-to-day support to other Sanofi CHC functions regarding their global initiatives.

The Global Privacy Operations Lead, within the Global Privacy Office, oversees global privacy initiatives, ensures compliance with international data protection laws, coordinates incident response and breach management, and optimizes privacy operations for efficiency and effectiveness.

Main responsibilities :

As the Global Privacy Operations Lead, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and coordinating day-to-day privacy operations, including:
    • The maintenance of records of processing activities;
    • Handling assessments, investigations, and notifications of data breaches;
    • Managing data subject requests;
    • Setting up and maintaining privacy management tools;
    • Updating privacy indicators dashboards;
    • Optimizing workflows for efficiency;
    • Leading global privacy initiatives assigned by the Global Data Privacy Officer;
    • Monitoring and analyzing changes in data protection laws and communicating updates;
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement consistent privacy policies;
    • Developing and delivering privacy training programs;
    • Conducting or participating in audits and assessments for compliance.

You will also manage relationships with key privacy authorities, including CNIL, ensuring timely and appropriate interactions.

This role is based in Paris and does not involve direct supervisory responsibilities.

About you

Ideal candidates will have experience in global data privacy roles within international companies, preferably in FMCG, Healthcare, or AdTech sectors. Expertise in GDPR, LGPD, CPRA, PIPL laws is essential, along with knowledge of information security principles and risk management.

Technical skills should include proficiency in MS Office, practical knowledge of privacy tools like OneTrust, and familiarity with MS Forms and PowerAutomate is a plus.

Educational background should be a university degree in law, IT, or related fields, with privacy certifications like CIPP/E or CIPM preferred. The candidate should be a self-starter, well-organized, with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of working autonomously and cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.

Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
