Operational / Specialized
- Audit the financial procedures and documents of the missions, verify attached documents for correctness from an accounting perspective, and ensure they are entered into the financial accounting system following procedures, policies, and standards.
- Conduct controls on capital expenditures (fixed assets), monitor petty cash advances, ensure proper entry into the financial system, audit disbursement procedures, and prepare related reports.
- Follow up on and scrutinize financial settlements and tax collection procedures with state missions abroad within the sector's geographical scope.
- Monitor and audit the payroll procedures for local employees in diplomatic missions within the department's geographical area, according to approved policies.
- Oversee all financial flows of the missions, including revenues such as consular revenues, ensure deposits in banks, perform reconciliations, and submit periodic financial reports.
- Participate in responding to the Audit Bureau's reports concerning the department, adhering to approved principles.
- Identify and follow up on claims of foreign entities payable, coordinate with missions abroad, ensure payments, inform the department of transfers, and prepare relevant reports.
- Monitor bank accounts of missions outside the country within the sector's scope, conduct unexpected inventory checks of financial covenants.
- Coordinate with the Consular Services Department, providing data and proposals to develop revenue programs and prepare special reports.
- Save revenue reports from banks and monthly e-Dirham reports in shared files according to policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports on mission expenses and propose measures to rationalize spending based on approved principles.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor related to the work nature.
General Operational
- Support and assist other organizational units within the Ministry on job-related matters.
- Participate in programs or changes within the Ministry, including strategic initiatives and performance improvement programs, and undertake related tasks as part of the job and employment contract.
- Contribute to activities ensuring business continuity in colleagues' absence.
- Ensure health and safety at the workplace, promote resource sustainability, and adhere to organizational policies.
- Provide innovative ideas to improve the work environment and optimize procedures.
- Continuously transfer practical knowledge to colleagues and contribute to organizational knowledge management and sustainability.
