Blitz is a gaming platform launched by Voodoo in 2021, allowing players to compete in mobile games for real cash prizes (head-up, tournaments, leagues, etc.). It is leveraging Voodoo’s unique game portfolio as well as exclusive games crafted for Blitz to engage users in a fun and rewarding way.

Role

We are looking for a talented Lead Game Designer, deeply passionate about gameplay, level design, perfect visual pixel execution and top-notch look and feel, who will play a key role in the development of Blitz, our real-money gaming platform.

• Define a clear and cohesive gaming roadmap of our platform
• Pitch and implement big features to the team, deconstructing them into smaller components
• Own & help fine-tune game balancing, pace, feel
• Improving game experience based on metrics and user feedback
• Design and balance our maps and levels (tripeaks, match3, tile match, pool, bubble shooter …)
• Being responsible for excellence in execution and look & feel
• Get involved in all aspects of game development: UI, UX, game design, logic, performance, etc.
• Thinking creatively to design unique, fun, and engaging mechanics, features and special modes for our players
• Always back up your ideas with available data points
• Ability to deconstruct and analyze mobile games mechanics
• Understanding of models and tools to analyze gameplay and user behavior
• Analyzing player data to make design decisions (monitoring a/b tests and derive insights)
• Staying up-to-date with the mobile market, playing and analyzing mobile games, and sharing new insights with the team
• Proficiency in Unity a huge plus
• Familiarity with Figma or similar visual collaboration software
• Able to create a playable prototype individually as well as within a team

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as Game Designer in casual mobile games
• Experience in team management
• Creative and hacker mindset
• Good sense of gameplay experience, and special attention to details
• Communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Deep collaboration mindset, including excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a positive mindset towards receiving, acting on, and giving feedback
• Accountability, independence, and responsibility when given ownership over your work
• An eagerness to learn new ways to perform your tasks in a more efficient way, and to improve yourself day after day

Nice to have :

• Experience in designing and balancing puzzle, match3, merge games
• Experience in Unity
• Familiarity with Figma or similar visual collaboration software
